I am a collector of words

Words feed me, free me, comfort, uplift and heal me. I've been saving my favorites in books, handwritten over the years and thought that perhaps in sharing them, not only am I preserving them for myself, but perhaps others may also find healing in them as I have.

Self-Improvement

"The problem with self-improvement is that it implies there is something wrong with who we are.   Everyone wants to be someone else, but getting to know and love yourself means accepting who you are, complete with your inadequacies and irrationalities.   There is a difference between self-improvement and the unfolding of the soul.   In the latter we didn't take an attitude of perfection; rather we draw closer to those things that we feel as imperfect and let them be the opening through which the potentiality of the soul enters into life."   Thomas Moore
