I am a collector of words

Words feed me, free me, comfort, uplift and heal me. I've been saving my favorites in books, handwritten over the years and thought that perhaps in sharing them, not only am I preserving them for myself, but perhaps others may also find healing in them as I have.

Life

"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance to live so that which came to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which came to me as blossom goes on as fruit."

Risk and Dreams

"But if a person has had the sense of the Call -- the feeling that there's an adventure for him -- and if he doesn't follow that, but remains in the society because it's safe and secure, then life dries up. If you have the guts to follow the risk, however, life opens, opens, opens up all along the line. I feel that if one follows what I call one's "bliss" -- the thing that really gets you deep in your gut and that you feel is your life -- doors will open up. They do! They have in my life and they have in many lives that I know of." ~Joseph Campbell

Love

"Giving love with no expectation is the cornerstone of your relationships when you are on purpose.   Practice this giving of love without conditions and you will find yourself feeling full rather than empty and blissful rather than miserable."   Wayne Dyer

Understanding

"When all paradises are lost, when all desires drop, suddenly it is your innermost nature to be blissful.  For that nothing is needed.   Just understanding is enough.   The way of the Buddha is the way of understanding."   Osho
