- The illusion that personal gain is made up of crushing others
- The tendency to worry about things that cannot be changed or corrected
- Insisting that a thing is not possible because we cannot accomplish it
- Refusing to set aside trivial preferences
- Neglecting development and refinement of the mind and not acquiring the habit of reading and study
- Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do.

Six Mistakes of Man

The Sun In Drag
You are the Sun in drag.
You are God hiding from yourself.
Remove all the "mine" - that is the veil.
Why ever worry about
Anything?
Listen to what your friend Hafiz
Knows for certain:
The appearance of this world
Is a Magi's brilliant trick though it's affairs are
Nothing into nothing.
You are a divine elephant with amnesia
Trying to live in an ant
Holy Sweetheart, O Sweetheart
You are God in
Drag
You are God hiding from yourself.

Two Puddles Chatting
It rained during the night
And two puddles formed in the dark
And began chatting.
One said,
"It is so nice to at last be upon the earth
And to met you as well,
But what will happen when
The brilliant Sun comes
And turns us back into spirit again?"
Dear ones,
Enjoy the night as much as you can.
Why ever trouble your heart with flight, when you have just arrived
And your body is so full of warm desires.
And look:
So many meadows of soft hair are
Planted upon you.
Why ever trouble yourself with God
When He is so unjudging
And kind

Seperation
"Pain and separation occur when we regret the past or worry about the future. Here and now is ecstasy." Ram Dass

Judgment
"Moralistic judgments are always based in anxiety. They sound high and righteous, but they come from a small, worried, and barely concealed desperation." Unknown

Courage
"I remember all the times that I have resented the climb, the amount of living needed to gain the precious understanding to know how to live well. And how important it is in the struggle for freedom from the old ways not to be limited by self-expectation or to worry about what others may think. To be willing to do the really important things any way you can, even three steps at a time." Rachel Naomi Remen

Worry
"Worrying is less work than doing something to fix the worry. This is
especially true if we're careful to pick the biggest possible problems to
worry about. Everybody wants to save the earth; nobody want to help Mom do
the dishes." P.J. O'Rourke
