I am a collector of words

Words feed me, free me, comfort, uplift and heal me. I've been saving my favorites in books, handwritten over the years and thought that perhaps in sharing them, not only am I preserving them for myself, but perhaps others may also find healing in them as I have.

I Want Both of Us

I want both of us
To start talking about this great love
As if you, I and the Sun were all married
And living in a tiny room,

Helping each other to cook,
Do the wash, weave and sew,
Care for our beautiful
Animals.

We all leave each morning
To labor on the earth's field
No one does not lift a great pack.

I want both of us to start sining like two
Traveling minstrels
About this extraordinary existence
We share,

As if
You, I and God were all  married
And living in
A tiny
Room.

Best Love

Even
After
All this time
The sun never says to the earth

"You owe Me"

Look
What happens
With a love like that.
It lights the Whole
Sky.

Shadow and Darkness

"When the sun disappears into the night, its light never dies. Our subconscius mind embraces what sunset represents in our lives. It is imperative that we attach ourselves to that notion firmly."   ~ Dodinsky

Perspective

‎"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but
to add color to my sunset sky." ~ Rabindranath Tagore

Moon

"Whereas sun rhythm would nourish into action, moon rhythm meditates, ponders, keeps the feeling in harmony with the thought."  Marion Woodman

Silver, The Moon and the Feminine

"Silver is he metal of the moon and because women's biology is connected to the moon, silver is associated with the feminine.   The luminous glow of moonlight lacks the sharp clarity of sunlight, but it's gentleness unfolds, synthesizes, brings together as one.   Feelings and intuition that remain hidden from the sun surface in the moonlight."  Marion Woodman

Sunset

"I  watched the light of the day gather in a miraculous and colorful fire all along the line of the horizon.   I saw how all the secret color of life was gradually gathered up in a wonderful validation to a day that was well lived by the universe."   John O' Donahue
