I am a collector of words

Words feed me, free me, comfort, uplift and heal me. I've been saving my favorites in books, handwritten over the years and thought that perhaps in sharing them, not only am I preserving them for myself, but perhaps others may also find healing in them as I have.

Real Love

"Falling in love you remain a child; rising in love you mature. By and by love becomes not a relationship, it becomes a state of your being. Not that you are in love - now you are love."   Osho.

Individuality

"Whether he is wealthy or poor, the Rebel is really an emperor because he has broken the chains of society's repressive conditioning and opinions. He has formed himself by embracing all the colors of the rainbow, emerging from the dark and formless roots of his unconscious past and growing wings to fly into the sky. His very way of bei...ng is rebellious - not because he is fighting against anybody or anything, but because he has discovered his own true nature and is determined to live in accordance with it. The eagle is his spirit animal, a messenger between earth and sky. "    OSHO.

Truth

"Truth goes on changing.  It is not a stagnant phenomenon; it is continuously changing."   Osho

Truth

"The truth is not a question, it is quest.   It is not intellectual; it is existential."   Osho

Silence and Truth

"What is silence?   It is deep understanding of the phenomenon that if you prefer, you will be tense.  Whenever you don't prefer, you are relaxed.   When you are relaxed your eyes have clarity.  No thoughts move in the mind: you see the true, you are liberated.   Truth liberates.   Osho

Buddha's Love

"This is Buddha's love: to see the reality of the other-not to project, not to dream, not to create an image, not try to fix the other according to your imagte.  Mind has to love and hate, and mind has to go on fighting between these two."   Osho

Understanding

"When all paradises are lost, when all desires drop, suddenly it is your innermost nature to be blissful.  For that nothing is needed.   Just understanding is enough.   The way of the Buddha is the way of understanding."   Osho

Mind

"The mature mind is one who can remain without any search even if there is no ultimate explanation of things."  Osho

Buddha

"Buddha is not a theist.   He is not an atheist either, because he says, a few people believe that there is a God and a few people believe there is no God, but both are believers."  Osho

Maturity

"This is what maturity is: to accept the fact and not create a fiction around it; to accept the reality as it is, without trying to sweeten it, decorate it, without trying to make it more acceptable to your heart."   Osho

Buddha

"Buddha is the most shattering individual in the history of humanity.  He does not say to believe in anything.  He is an unbeliever and his religion is that of unbelief.  He does not say "believe", he says, "doubt"  Osho

Truth

"Even if you are annihilated by the impact of the truth, it is good."  Osho

Mind

"Remember one thing: Anything incomplete is carried by the mind forever.  Anything complete is dropped."  Osho

Acceptance

"The problem arose not because of the fact, but because you couldn't accept it in the way it was happening.  You wanted it to follow your idea.   Remember, life is not going to follow you - you have to follow life.   Grudgingly or happily, that's your choice.   If you follow grudgingly you will be in suffering.   If you follow happily you become a buddha, you life becomes an ecstasy."

Illusions

"If you see something as rubbish, if you see that the stones that you carried all this time are not real diamonds, what are you going to do with them?  It will not take great courage or intelligence to drop them.  You were not clinging to those stones, but to the IDEA that the were diamonds.   You were clinging to your fallicy, your illusion.   Buddha has not renounced the world, he has renounced his illusions about it."  Osho

Understanding

"Go into each negative thing and you will find the positive, the third, the ultimate happens- the transcendental.   That is the meaning of understanding.  Osho

Intelligence

"An intelligent person does not escape from any fact.  If it is fear he will go into it, because the way out is through."   Osho

Exploration

"The explorer has to remain open to all the possibilities; he cannot afford a closed mind."  Osho

Nonbelieving Intelligence

"Only in non-believeing intelligence can truth appear.   When you already believe, you don't allow truth any space to come to you.   Your prejudice is already enthroned.   You cannot see something that goes beyond your belief."   Osho

Belief

"The man of intelligence does not believe in anything and does not disbelieve anything.   The man of intelligence is open to recognizing, whatsoever is the case.   If God is there he will recognize- but not according to his belief.  He has no belief.   He looks into life and whatsoever is there he is ready to see it.   He has no barriers to his vision; his vision is transparent."   Osho
