Somatic Perception
"Somatic perception is the capacity each one of us has for knowing what is best for our own body. When we awaken somatic perception we take the ownership of healing away from an expert and give it back to our own body. We let our own wisdom tell us what and how much to eat, how to exercise, when to rest, how to heal. Healing begins when we realize and rediscover our instinctual somatic perception. this can happen only when we stop trying to control or fix or transcend the body and instead let the animal of the body lead us into healing." Stress and Attitude
"It is not so much the stressors in our lives but how we see them ans what we do with them that determines how much we are at their mercy. If we can change the way we see, we can change the way we respond." Jon Kabat-Zinn

Commitment
This word "commitment" is considered sacred by some and healthy by others but perhaps it is little more than sentimental. An alternative is to offer your love and companionship freely, refreshing your attachment every day. You may love in a hundred different ways without feeling committed. Many people go through deep and dark torment either because they can't commit themselves to another or because the one they love won't 'make a commitment'. Maybe the lesson from all the pain is to give the idea of commitment all together. It isn't rich, free and genuine enough to be worth all the attention." Unknown

Perspective
"The future becomes the present when you imagine that you are already what you will be when your assumption is fulfilled. Be still (least action) and know that you are that which you desire to be. The end of longing should be Being." Neville Lancelot Goddard, who wrote The Power of Awareness in 1952: (p. 47)

Healing Story
"When we get to the point where we can wonder at the other people's perspectives in the turning point events of our lives, we begin to heal laterally across relationships of the living family." Christina Baldwin

Belief
"When you become aware that your thinking has a life of its own, you will never make a prison of your own perception."
"When your thinking is locked in false certainty or negativity it puts so many interesting and vital areas of life out of your reach. You live impoverished in the midst of your own abundance."
"Belief should liberate your life. The reduction of the wild eternity of your life into a harsh divine project is a blasphemy against the call of your soul."
"Expectation is resentment waiting to happen."
"When you look at the different conflicts in your life, you will find that they are placed where the contradictions cross each other, the nail where two intimate, but conflicting realities criss-cross."

Meaning
"Most of us lead far more meaningful lives than we know. Often finding meaning is not so much about doing things differently; it is about seeing familiar things in a new way. When we find new eyes, the unsuspected blessing in work we have done for many years may take us completely by surprise. We can see life in many ways, with the eye, with the mind, with the intuition. But perhaps it is only by those who speak the language of meaning, who have remembered how to see with the heart, that life is ever deeply known or served." Rachel Naomi Remen

A Blessing
"We may not recognize a blessing when it is given, or we may have ideas about life that keep us from experiencing what we already have. Sometimes we become frozen in the past or unaware of the potential of the present. We may even come to feel entitled to what has been given by grace. Or we become so caught up in what is missing in the world that we allow our hearts to break. There are many ways to feel empty in the midst of our blessings." Rachel Naomi Remen

Belief
"A belief is like a pair of sunglasses. When we wear a belief and look at life through it, it is difficult to convince ourselves that what we see is not what is real. Knowing that what is real requires that we remember that we are wearing sunglasses and take them off. One of the great moments in life is the moment we recognize we have them on in the first place. Freedom is very close to us then. It is a moment of great power." Rachel Naomi Remen

Perception
"All of the things that you have become convinced are limits are products of the way in which you have learned to think." Wayne Dyer
Love and Miracles
"Where there is great love there are always miracles. Miracles rest not so much upon faces or voices or healing powers coming to us from afar off, but on our perceptions being made finer, so that for a moment our eyes can see and our ears can hear what is there about us always." Willa Cather

Fundamentalism
"Fundamentalism is based on faulty and fear-filled perception. Fundamentalism pretends to have found an absolute point to the inner mind of the mystery. Such certainty cannot sustain itself in real conversation that is critical and questioning." John O' Donahue

Perception
"Thought is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. The way you see things makes them what they are. We never meet life innocently. We always take life in through the grid of thought we use." John O' Donahue

Perception
"Thoughts are the furniture of your mind. This is the fascinating adventure of perception. When you become aware of your thoughts and your particular style of thinking you begin to see why your world is shaped the way it is. Then you know you have the freedom to think differently. You begin to realize the excitement of thinking in new directions and in different rhythms." John O' Donahue
Perception
"How you see and what you see determines what you will be. Your perception, your view of reality is the lens through which you see things. Your perception determines the way things will behave for you and toward you. We tend to perceive difficulty as disturbance." John O' Donahue
Perception
"Visualize the mind as a tower of windows. Sadly many people remain trapped at one window, looking out every day at the same scene in the same way. Real growth is experienced when you draw back from that one window, turn and walk around the inner tower of the soul and see all the different windows at await your gaze. You will be able to see new vistas of possibility, presence and creativity. Complacency, habit and blindness often prevent you from feeling your life. So much depends on the frame of vision- the window through which you look." John O' Donahue
